Women's preview | Liverpool Feds vs Wolves

Wolves Women’s league season draws to a close at Liverpool Feds on Sunday afternoon.

Dan McNamara’s side complete their 2023/24 Northern Premier Division campaign with a trip north looking to end the season with three points.

Prior to Wednesday’s defeat to Halifax, the Old Gold had won seven games on the bounce and had third place in their sights.

However, Nottingham Forest are in pole position as they sit three points ahead of Wolves in fourth and have a better goal difference going into the final day.

Liverpool Feds have proven stern opposition for teams throughout the campaign and sit seventh in the table, having accumulated 27 points from 21 games.

The two teams met in March at the New Bucks Head, with Wolves running out 3-0 winners thanks to goals from Beth Merrick, Destiney Toussaint and Jade Cross.

Although the league season is coming to an end, Wolves still have silverware to fight for after Sunday as they prepare for the Birmingham Challenge Cup final against Rugby Borough on Tuesday 14th May.
